We woke up Monday feeling sad and happy at the same time. We were sooooo ecited to go back to MK, but felling depressed knowing that this is the last day of our trip. Well, we started off the day eating breakfast at the hotel. We got an early start because I was worried about the crowds being a Monday. We got to MK around 7:45 and we walked staright on in. Haha...we just thought that they were letting people in the park early until a cast member told us to enjoy our breakfast as we were walking by. Opps. Yeah, we were not suppose to go in and my daughter was so upset because she didn%26#39;t want to miss the opening ceremony. Well, being the awesome parents that we are, we left the park and stood outside with everyone else. Just to see the five minute opening ceremony...which was cute by the way. Oh....and NO we were not chosen to be family of the day. Lol...my husband said it was my fault for going straight inside with the breakfast people.
Anyway, after the park opened we headed to Space Mountain where my husband and kids rode it. I%26#39;m not really into the coaster thing and I am perfectly content sitting outside and people watch. It seemed as thought it was insanely busy, but we harldy waited for any ride! I think the longest we had to wait for anything was about 20 minutes...maybe 30, but that was very rare.
We had lunch at Tony%26#39;;s and I must say...the reviews on this place were so off! We LOVED this place. My daughter and I got the eggplant dish and OMG it was yummy!!! I would eat there again for sure. As a matter of fact, I wanted to eat there for dinner again, but had run out of time. Now, counter service at MK to me, is the worse for a veg head. My daughter and I eat fish and seafood, but it was really hard to find much here. We ate at the Habor House on out first day for lunch and it was okay. I%26#39;m just not a fied food type of person, so I left there feeling gross! Their veggie burgers are horrible as well. We ate them at DS and I didn%26#39;t dare go back to try again at MK. We ate counter service at Cosmic Ray%26#39;s where I ate a yogurt and apples. My kids ate pb%26amp;j with fruit and my husband ate chicken nuggets with fries. It was an okay meal.
I am happy to say that we got AWESOME seats for Wishes. We sat on the round bench surronding the Walt and Mickey statue...right smack in the middle looking straight at the castle. I was so excited when this show started. The kids were so excited!! They were just smiling the entire time. It was a ';magical'; as you all said it would be. As soon as the fireworks ended, we went straight to the ice cream shop to end our night. It was so yummy and we just sat there on the curb of Main St. eating our ice cream and looking at the castle changing colors. As we walk out we picked p some balloons for the kids ($10.00 each...YIKES) and headed to the parking lot. We drove ourselves this day.
We went to bed that night with torn emotions. Well...I did. Everyone else was pretty much passed out. I just laid there thinking about the kids over the past nine days and how happy I was that we were able to give this to them. We were able to give them these memories and give them a chance to escape normal life to live in a fairytale world if even for just nine days. I was happy, but I was sad. I know that everyday they will continue to grow, and I%26#39;m not sure if any vacation will ever top the one we just went on. It was by far the most perfect time in my life and it really sadden me to think it was all ending...not to mention that I was heading back to Columbus, MS (Urgh...thank you Air Force).
What a trip. I will smile the rest of my life everytime I think of it.
I will post a overall rating of thr trip soon. We have had pleanty of time to discuss our favortites during our 12 hour ride home! Haha...

When my parents gave me my first trip to WDW in the 70%26#39;s when I was a teen, we had only one day, and stayed offsite like pretty much everyone did then. It was still magic, and your kids will remember this and appreciate it.
What a wonderful trip you had!
Hope this is just the first of many!
