Hi there,
We%26#39;re bringing our almost-2 year old down in a few weeks - Likely taking her to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and one of the waterparks
Is there anywhere else (smaller scale) that would be good for a young toodler? Not looking to do any other ';big'; outings, but would love some sort of Zoo or playcenter to bring her too on one of the other days-- Any ideas for fun things to do with a baby/toddler?
thanks in advance!
Ideas for places to take toddler?
We always do Clearwater beach when we go. I find the beach at Clearwater is nicer then the beaches in Maui. The sand at Clearwater is like the white sand at Wasaga Beach torontogal. You can go online and look up clearwater webcams.
Your little one would love the sand and water I am sure. Just use LOTS of sunscreen.
Message me if you want to bounce anymore thoughts on me.
P.S. Clearwater beach by pier 60 is your best bet and they have two covered playgrounds there as well. Keeps the suns glare off while the little ones play.
Jokelady in Edmonton via King City/ Maple hehe

We took our little boy to the petting farm below.
It pleasant few hours away from the parks

Green Meadows Petting farm is one of my favorites... have taken my son when he was 2, 3, 4 and 5 and he%26#39;s loved it every time.
Nothing new place-wise to add, but when my daughter was 16 months we tried everything at MK and the best bit for her was Poo%26#39;s playground (maybe called thotful place). She loved being in-charge of herself for a while rather than being dragged around and made to have fun!
You might have a look around over at the Fort Wilderness Resort %26amp; Campground ( short boat ride from Magic ingdom ) They have a petting zoo and campfire %26amp; movie, nice to just walk about over there as well.

Downtown Disney would be another good outing, Lego Store has a play area and there is a small Carousel, Train Ride and the Water Fountains play area
There is a petting farm in kissimmee near the disney area and i also know a great zoo in tampa but dont know what its called but im sure you could find it on the internet but i know its something park zoo just cant remember the first word. And also she might like to go to a disney miniture golf. there one called fantasia gardens near the swan hotel.
thanks for the ideas everyone - they sound great!
I must add my vote for green meadows petting zoo. We went a few years ago and the eldest moaned before we went but they all had a great time, great photo ops. You get to catch chickens, ducks, feed goats %26amp; sheep, horse, train %26amp; haywagon rides, milk a cow and loads more. You walk around in small tour groups. Its very shady, so great on a hot day. You can hire little red wagons for the kids to sit in and ride round in. Theres a great park and loads of tractors to climb on.
My kids loved holding the chicks and ducklings.
Also take a towel and change of clothes down to dtd with you and allow her to splash around in the fountains, she will love it. There is also a huge McDonalds on international drive that has a soft play area. I have never been inthere myself but have heard its good.
What about seaworld? There is shamus harbour there which has kiddie rides, a wet park and play area. Great fun if you are planning a visit there.
I wouldn%26#39;t waste my money on a water park for a 2 year old. Instead, why not enjoy the hotel pool or pop over to Celebration and let him/her enjoy running through the fountains for a while (lots of kids do it). I would take her to Sea World instead. If you have a car, The Central Florida Zoo in Sandford is nice.
Just FYI, the Tampa Zoo is Lowrey Park Zoo.
