When do the signs start for Disney World on I-95 and I-4

We are pretty much taking I-95 to I-4 to get to Disney World. Can anyone tell me where the road signs for Disney World start? To make a long story short, we are not telling the other travelrs that we are going to Disney World until we are almost there. We don%26#39;t want a sign to tell them before we get there. They think we are just going to a beach in Florida. I don%26#39;t want to actually tell them until the next morning.

I don%26#39;t remember any road signs for Disney on I-95. Once you get on I-4 you still have almost another hour that%26#39;s probably why. It%26#39;s at least 60 miles back to I-95 from Disney. It will be a while on I-4 before you start seeing signs.

I remember tons of signs for Daytona Beach though.

melhai,

They start after you pass through the Orlando city limits and out the other side. Remember you have another twenty miles on I-4 after you pass through downtown Orlando before you hit WDW.

Thanks for the info! That Helps a LOT!!!!

What you will have all up and down I-95 is billboards advertising Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, etc., but you won%26#39;t have any DOT signs. Oh yeah, lots of billboards for Ron Jon Surf shop too.

Agree that you have to totally pass downtown Orlando before you see the DOT signs for Disney, but billboards are everywhere all over Florida.

We laugh at the ones just past the FL state line on I-75 for ';Discount Disney Tickets'; and such, and we%26#39;re still a good 200 or more miles away.

melhai,

I had another thought.

Your path to Sarasota would take you directly by the Disney main entrance. You could tell the folks that you are headed to Sarasota which is a very nice place to go. When you get to your exit you could claim that you are going to get off the highway to find a fast food place and hit a restroom. That might get you at least part of the way to your hotel before they figure it out.

This way the signs and billboards will not cause you a problem since everyone knows you have to pass WDW to get to Sarasota from North Carolina.

To further confuse them, you might make a small diversionary detour to a fast food place by the Daytona Speedway. This sets the precedent that there are things to see that you will be holding for another trip.
