Hi! My husband and I are taking a vacation to Jacksonville to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary March 24th to 28th. (We%26#39;ll arrive late night the 23rd and leave early morning the 29th). It will be just the two of us.
I am curious if anyone has an idea on the average ocean temperature at that time? It seems I can find the current temps, but not forecasted or average - so far it%26#39;s about 62-65 degrees depending where I look.
We are from chilly central Illinois and are wanting sun and water! We will have a rental car, so getting around won%26#39;t be a problem.
I%26#39;d love some suggestions for things to see and places to eat in addition to good beaches. Are there any quiet areas/more secluded beaches not too far away?
TIA!

Need Ideas for March 24-28
The last half of March, the ocean temperature will be mid to mid/high 60s, not a whole lot different than it is now. Too cold for me but I%26#39;m spoiled. Friends from Germany came to visit and went swimming every day over Christmas and New Year%26#39;s and stayed out in the ocean up to their necks for an hour and thought it was just wonderful!!
We don%26#39;t have ';secluded'; beaches but the farther away you get from residential areas, the fewer people you will run into on the beach. Inasmuch as we have miles and miles of wide open beaches down here, there is plenty of room for everybody.
Check the Jacksonville Beach Forum for restaurants and more beach information. Restaurants don%26#39;t come and go real fast so suggestions on the forum are still good. For Jacksonville restaurants, do a search of the Forum. Under the bold green line type ';restaurants'; into the box and click GO. All the good restaurants have been recommended many times before.
Have a nice trip!
