what restaurants should we not miss?

Possibly staying at the Polynesian in July with our 5 and 7 year old boys. We are trying to decide what meal plan we want. If we get the ';sit down'; meals, which restaurants do we want to use them at? My hubby loves good food, and i%26#39;m sure that a week with fast food and snacks, he would love to find the best sit down restaruants to relax a little at!

Thanks!

what restaurants should we not miss?

I don%26#39;t believe it will be on your meal plan, but if you enjoy seafood..Fultons Crab House is great!

what restaurants should we not miss?

Is that on Disney grounds? Does the meal plan only include certain restaurants, or all of them on grounds?

There are a few that aren%26#39;t on the Plan

For a complete Listing of Restaurants on the Plan

www.wdwinfo.com/disney-dining-plan.htm

The Basic Plan has always been enough food for us. The Deluxe Plan is Lovely but we never seem to have enough time for 3 sit down meals each day

Do you like Seafood, Steaks, Buffets etc. We can help you narrow things down a bit

I%26#39;m sure we wouldn%26#39;t want three sitdown meals a day either. One a day at the most. We love fresh seafood, steaks, Italian...really anything!! It%26#39;s just so overwhelming looking at the long list of restaurant options, I don%26#39;t know where to start!

Our favorites are:

MK--Tony%26#39;s Townsquare Italian (try to book about 45 minutes before the start of Spectromagic, arrive about 15 minutes before your time and request to wait for a table on the front porch--perfect place to finish up your dessert while watching the Spectromagic Parade--they won%26#39;t let anyone stand right in front of the porch area so you have a perfect view)

AK--no table service, but Flame Tree BBQ is good counter service

HS--50s Prime Time Cafe--good food and the most fun atmosphere around--if your family is up for it because the wait staff here are hilariou if you don%26#39;t mind your manners and eat your veggies--you could have to stand in the corner or sing ';I%26#39;m a Little Tea Pot'; or sweep up the floors or who knows what if you don%26#39;t---it is really fun though

Epcot--Le Cellier for really good food and San Angel for really great atmosphere

AK Lodge--Boma--African inspired buffet that is NOT your typical buffet--it is very very good

Contemporary--Chef Mickey%26#39;s (cute character meal)

Polynesian--Ohana--if you go for breakfast here you will have Lilo, Stitch, Pluto and Mickey--they are really silly at the particular character meal and the breakfast is really good also--Ohana dinner is really great as well but is not a character meal at night but they do play fun games with the kids like broom and coconut races around the restaurant, limbo contests and musical parade...daughter loves this one for breakfast and dinner

Hope this helps!!!

50%26#39;s Prime Time

Spoodles at The Boardwalk

Beaches and Cream at The Beach Club

I%26#39;ll second San Angel at Epcot (Mexico) and we also love Wolfgang Pucks in Downtown Disney. :)

These are GREAT, exactly what I needed! Anything else?

At your resort we at breakfast at Kona and dinner at Ohana both very good. If you kids do not like the food at Ohana offered they will get them something else. It is a fun night.

Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness lodge is also fun your boys will like it.

Dinner buffets we liked 1900 Park fare, it is with Cinderella, Prince Charming, the step mother and sisters. It is not just for girls, the step sisters are funny. Chef Mickeys was also very good for classic disney characters. Both buffets had good food and I do not normally like buffets.

With the kids, Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge is a blast. The servers are fun and energetic and the food is wonderful!

If you are looking for character meals, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, and Cape Mays Cafe are a must. We have tried all 3 and the food is good, not great, but the character interaction was always top notch.
