Adopting in Jacksonville, FL

Hello,

My husband and I are adopting a baby from Jacksonville in April. I may need to stay in JAX for an extended time (2 weeks) by myself.

We are looking for a VERY safe and affordable way to stay for two weeks. Does anyone have ideas and/or suggestions?

Plus, are there areas to avoid? Thank you!

Hi Jamie,

Narrow this down for us a little bit. Jacksonville is a huge city - really spread out. Is there a part of the city you need to be in, or something you need to be near where you would want to stay? What do you mean by ';affordable';? Give us a maximum dollar amount as a guideline, if you can.

Happy motherhood!

Congratulations! I%26#39;ve never been to Jacksonville, but have a vacation coming up I booked online through Priceline.com and got a great deal on the newer Staybridge Suites there. They are an extended stay kind of place, about 25 miles from JAX airport. Good luck!

Hi Spirit,

I would love to rent a room in a safe neighborhood for $300 a week. I would like something that is furnished and clean. My agency is located on:

Professional Dr

Jacksonville, FL 32225

I don%26#39;t mind a bit of a travel to ensure a great place to stay. I would love a gated community with close access to a beach. If I do end up in a hotel, I am not sure how we will afford it.

The adoption alone has really been a financial struggle and I can%26#39;t spend $100-$200 a night for a hotel.

So, it is my hope that someone call help. Thank you in advance for taking the time to give this some thought. You are a strong presence on this board!
