Disney with a 2.5 year old daughter? What to do

I know this isn%26#39;t ';peak'; age to take a kid but we%26#39;re electing for disney over say an all inclusive somewhere.

We don%26#39;t really know what to do. We were thinking of a Cinderella breakfast. Are there any other things that are a ';must'; do that a 2.5 year old will like?

I know there%26#39;s lots to digest I just don%26#39;t want to miss anything.

We will likely just be doing half days at the parks.

thanks!

I would spent two days at Magic Kingdom. Take it all in. There is story time with belle, The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, all the character meets, parades, fireworks and more.

She%26#39;ll love everything, it%26#39;s a great age

Breakfast in the Castle is lovely but hard to get a reservation. We quite enjoy the Story Book Breakfast at Norway more. There are several Princesses and they spend a good amount of time visiting you at your Table, great Photo Ops

Magic Kingdom is of course the main focus but don%26#39;t rule out the other Parks. Animal Kingdom is wonderful. The Animals, the Shows and the walking Trails would all be well worth a 1/2 day. Disney%26#39;s Hollywood Studios has the Playhouse Disney Live, she would love that and the Block Party Bash Parade is alot of fun. Lunch at Hollywood %26amp; Vine would be perfect for her

Keep in mind you can%26#39;t see and do it all in one trip, that%26#39;s why we all keep going back :)

When I last went in 2007 we took our 22 month old foster daughter, (soon to be adopted daughter) and it was a breeze. She was a little wary of some of the characters but otherwise it was fine.

I would say take a pram or hire one in site. Then if she gets tired she can sleep and you can wander around.

Personally I would do Chef Mickeys rather than Cinderella breakfast a little more relaxed and just easier for a young one to deal with.

I would have dinner in the Liberty tree tavern in Magic kingdom with Pooh, Tigger etc, she loved that.

I think you will be surprised about the amount of things for her to do, you really could spend 2 full days at Magic Kingdom easily, a good morning at Animal Kingdom, and Epcot is lovely for a relaxing day with her, nemo is fun and the worlds are wonderful for you to do in the evening with the fireworks.

I would say, lots of fluids, and you will have a wonderful time.

Enjoy

Pooh, Tigger, and the other Pooh story character%26#39;s meal at Magic Kingdom is at Crystal Palace, not Liberty Tree Tavern.

Sadly, the character dinner at Liberty Tree was discontinued just after the first of the year. It was the one with Goofy, Chip %26amp; Dale, Minnie, and Pluto.

Hi BryGuy,

We took our daughter last December when she was 2 1/2 and she had a brilliant time. She was able to go on loads of rides, saw all the shows, parades and fireworks. We had several character meals which were brilliant, the kids get to go up and dance with a character at some of them. She still talks about our holiday every day and asks all the time to see the photos and videos. We are lucky enough to be taking her back in September when she will be 3 and cannot wait. Hope you have a fantastic time.

OOps sorry Kat, I am a bit of a div sometimes, yes it is Crystal Palace not Liberty tree tavern, I have no idea why I said that, I have lost the plot, but the funny thing is we have never eaten in Liberty before but eat in Crystal Palace at every trip, so just ignore me and I will try to put my brain back in next time I post, I will give myself a stern talking too,
