Dogs on the beach

For the second time riding on the beach low tide I have been set upon by dogs at the Ponte Vedra

Inn. The last one was yesterday at 4 pm. 2 large black dogs, growling and teeth showing, they weren%26#39;t just chasing my bike and I didn%26#39;t hang around to find out how hungry they were. I%26#39;m sure they were pets of guests who had no control over them. Previous time I had a tow clip ripped off. Iv%26#39;e complained to police and animal control already, second time. Someone is going to get hurt or worse if the club doesn%26#39;t take responsibility.

I have a right to ride that low tide beach every day and usually do.

I would suggest you write letters to the editor of the Recorder and the Leader.

Also, go the St. Johns County website: co.st-johns.fl.us and on the right hand menu, there is a box called Top SJC Links. Click on the P.R.I.D.E. link. Then click Enter New Request. At the top of the form for you to complete is a drop down menu of categories. You could choose Beach Safety. This actually gets results. It%26#39;s made up of government agencies and community volunteers.
