Hello,
My husband and I are planning a Keys anniversary trip/';babymoon'; for early June. Since I%26#39;m expecting, we%26#39;re not really looking for the party scene (sadly! next trip, without the baby ...).
Any recommendations on areas/specific places that are close to the fun stuff but not on top of bars, so we can get some sleep? Would still like to be walkable to good restaurants, activities, sights.
We%26#39;d like to stay under $200/night and ideally in some sort of laid back guest house, inn, or B%26amp;B.
Thanks much!
Key West for ';babymoon'; - where to stay?
Here are some ideas. Call the guest houses direct to find out rates in June.
Ambrosia
Key West Harbor Inn
Mermaid and the Alligator
Seascape Tropical Inn
Key West for ';babymoon'; - where to stay?
Hubby and I really liked the Azul Key West guesthouse last May; very nice and should fit the price range. We met a couple there that was on a babynoon. It%26#39;s a block and a half off of central Duval St which I think is a great location.
Hubby and I rented bicycles and rode everywhere; fun and quick. Check out ft Zach beach, Sunset view from rooftop bar @ Hotel la Concho; Water view from Turtle kraals tower bar, Malloy Sq sunset show, water view (and food) at Schooner wharf Bar
Food rec:
Breakfast at La Creperie if re-opened,Blue Heaven, Harpoon Harry%26#39;s
Lunch at Sandy%26#39;s (to go then eat by pool), Roof Top Cafe, Croissants de France
Dinner at El Siboney for Cuban, Conch Republic for Seafood, Mangia Mangia for Italian,
Hogfish Bar on Stock Island has the best seafood!
This gives you an idea of how Key West is laid out and where a few places are. When you begin to look at specific hotels or B%26amp;B%26#39;s, you can use the ';Map this Hotel'; function and you will be able to see how convenient or inconvenient it is...

';Babymoon'; 8-)
If you like Key West you could do a ';New car moon'; some other year. Dining Room Set moon even later.

Thanks very much, all! Great recs and that article on the layout is very helpful. Somehow missed that in poking around on TA earlier.
Here is another place to check out. I have never stayed there but a good friend would always stay in the cottage when he would visit Key West. Its really cute and I loved the privacy it offered.

If you don%26#39;t need a pool, we really like Key West Bed %26amp; Breakfast on William Street. It%26#39;s located on a quiet residential street but is just a couple blocks from Schooner Wharf Bar in one direction and a few blocks off Duval in another direction. It%26#39;s quiet and relaxing with great porches and a large jacuzzi out back.
It%26#39;s going to be hot in June. A pool would be nice and refreshing.

TO LIMEY,
A pool is a must indeed.... All the ladies out there who have ever been preggers can tell you that swimming is a great way to recover from the heat, very relaxing, and gets some of the stress off one%26#39;s back... virtual weightlessness is bliss.
LOL
Cheers!

YES, I definitely need a pool! :)
Any thoughts on Eden House for our situation? It looks great online but I%26#39;m not sure how quiet it would be. Thanks.
