Has anyone stayed at the above? We%26#39;re travelling from England and have booked it for a week in March 2009 - loots really nice on the websites but would appreciate any visitor feedback.
La Casa Habana on Morton Street, Grassy Key
hebdenhome, I had a friend that lives on Morton take a look at the property and he said it is real nice. The grounds are professionally maintained every week, it has a long dock to fish and snorkle from and you can%26#39;t beat the Morton Street sunsets!
La Casa Habana on Morton Street, Grassy KeyWe just returned from a 5 night stay here and LOVED it. Well apportioned, plenty of space, snorkle/fishing/kayaking gear all at the rental. Close to local restaurants and about 30 min from Bahia Honda State Park - worth the drive! The screened-in porch provided the perfect early am spot to enjoy the oceanview and a cup of coffee. The house is well maintained, kitchen well-stocked equipment-wise. Herbies is a good local restaurant that is reasonably priced and has a great fish sandwich (their lobster/crab bisque was fantastic). The neighbors were friendly and we had a blast! We are already planning a return trip. Good choice
Thank you, your feedback is much apperciated - just 6 weeks till we get there now, so we%26#39;re really looking forward to it.
What sort of size are the bedrooms? A friend who we are travelling with says he%26#39;s heard they are small, but I suppose you don%26#39;t spend a lot of time in them except when you%26#39;re sleeping anyway. Looking forward to watching the sunset from the end of the peir, sipping on a beer.
Regards
Julie
The bedrooms are smallish, but the screened in porch, hammock, hot tub were where we spent our time. The kitchen/dining room/living room indoor space felt very open and inviting, so I didn%26#39;t go away feeling closed in ever. Bahia Honda is a must see, as is Key West. Though both are quite a drive, but you are on KEY TIME! Enjoy Julie
Thanks for this - will try our hardest to have a splendid time - sure it won%26#39;t be too much effort. Regards Julie
