Is this place still around. I noticed the last review was from 2006. If it is around, how is the food, and atomosphere. We are really looking for something that has a rustic appeal. Something like newspaper on the table and crab in the middle. Does this place exist in the area or am I dreaming?
Norris Crazy Crab Restaurant. Open or Closed?
Norris%26#39;s is now known as Maddogs (in the Hammock). Same place really except that Maddog is an advid Steelers fan so everything is black and gold. Food is pretty good but they don%26#39;t have crabs... Sounds like you are thinking of the places in Maryland with the newspaper on the table and a bushel of crabs being thrown in the middle and you just dig in. I spend a lot of time in the area and there isn%26#39;t anything like that in the immediate area. However, I have heard of something like that in Palatka maybe? Check around.
If you want rustic and GREAT food check out Cavanaugh%26#39;s. It isn%26#39;t a restaurant but moreso a seafood wholesaler. They do get fresh (and I mean fresh) shrimp. It is basically a pole barn type of place. They will cook anything up for you and you are welcome to sit at the picnic table and eat. Lots of locals gather there. However, the best shrimp you will ever have.
It is at the end of Wildwood drive, right behind the publix. The only sign says United States Marine Corp. I think it says Cavanaugh%26#39;s on the mailbox.
