Pink Shell Beach Resort ---Sanibel View Rooms?

PSBR--- in the timeframe in which we are considering, Sanibel View Rooms or White Sand Villas are available. Anyone care to comment on those rooms? Was going to opt for the Sanibel View Rooms as the prices were better and the size of the room is not a real concern for us. Anyone know about the condition of the rooms? Anything else that we should take into consideration?

Pink Shell Beach Resort ---Sanibel View Rooms?

I stayed in the Sanibel View section a few years ago and was very happy. The newer part (White Sand Villas) was being built at the time. The building is obviously older, but the room was plenty for us, and had a surprisingly nice kitchen area for a hotel room. They have nice-sized screened balconies with nice patio furniture and a ceiling fan. It was so nice to hang out there in the evenings watching the Sanibel lighthouse blinking in the distance. I also like that end of the island. It%26#39;s quieter with much less traffic and is walkable to time square.

Thanks so much for your speedy and helpful response

We recently stayed in the 2 bedroom white sands. It was very nice to have 2 full bathrooms, full kitchen, washer/dryer and an amazing view from the livingroom/diningroom. I certainly would stay in the white sands particularly if your were going with 4 or more or with kids if it fits your budget. With the sizable suite and views from 180 degrees, it made spending time in the suite a nice experience also. However if it was just myself or two of us, and wanted to have the vac for as little as possible, I would likely opt for the least expensive, because even these rooms are very nice, just to get the opportunity to stay at PS for a reasonable rate. Either way you won%26#39;t be disapointed as all suites primary rooms face the ocean and have their entry doors facing the back bay. All buildings are beside one another, so all the facilites are available to everyone.

The Sanibel View rooms are much smaller than White Sands. You have a small table and 2 chairs and 2 beds. The bathroom is very small. On the good side-there is covered parking below the building, the building faces the ';quiet pool'; as opposed to the large Octopus pool in front of the White Sands. I wouldn%26#39;t have a problem staying in the Sanibel rooms if it was just my husband and me only for a few days. The porch is nice but you have to watch TV from the bed or the small chairs at the table-no furniture such as a couch or comfortable chair.

We stayed at the White Sands rooms at the Pink Shell and I simply loved them!! Loved the layout, huge bathroom, gorgeous floor to ceiling windows, view, etc. etc. I can%26#39;t comment on the Sanibel rooms but the White Sands room is one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in.

Blu2,

I looked this up for you because I remember when we booked the White Sands I wanted to know the difference too.

The Sanibel studio is 390 sq feet and has a kitchenette. The White Sand Villa is approx 700 sq feet and has a full kitchen. Both units have gulf front views. The White Sand Villa building is considered the main building of the property,

Thanks so much for checking it out --- much appreciated
