We are coming down for just 5 days in April and staying at the Sara Sea. Is there a lot of noise by there with the construction going on? Thank you for any help!

Sara Sea
We just returned from 4 nights at the Sara Sea. Very nice rooms, recently renovated. All rooms have kitchenettes with fridge, microwave, cooktop oven, and dishwasher. The Hideaway is your standard hotel room size but more than enough for the small amount of time you%26#39;ll spend there. The pool is very close and the beach is a short walk away. They offer use of beach chairs and toys for no charge - you can rent umbrellas, etc. on the beach for reasonable prices.
With regards to construction - there is a large hotel/time share being built within view of the pool area and on the beach. We only really noticed construction noise while on the beach - easy to ignore by focusing on the sunshine, rolling waves, and white, powder sand. Take an ipod and remember you%26#39;re on vacation. We%26#39;d happily be back at the Sara Sea today instead of at work looking up at grey skies.
Overall, very nice hotel on Crescent Beach but don%26#39;t have others to compare to. The ladies in the office were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and well kept. We wouldn%26#39;t hesitate to stay again on return to Siesta Key.
Sara Sea
Thanks DoodahMan!
I really look forward to staying at the SaraSea! I love the ';old Florida'; motels like I stayed at as a child.
Glad you had a good trip! Being a fellow Ohioan, I%26#39;ve had enough snow and grey days for this year! Every time I find a bargain airfare, I%26#39;m going to be off to the Florida sunshine!
