Sarasota vs Fort Myers

We are planning on a trip in June to celebrate our anniversary and would like some input as to which one would be better. We are more into beach, great restaurants and just a little nightlife (but some).

I would recommend the Sarasota area for your anniversary. There is no comparsion as far as beach, dining and other things to do. Ft. Myers is a larger town and much more heavily developed...

Now you have to look at lodging options on Siesta Key or Lido Key. Don%26#39;t know your budget/ when you are planning this trip/condo or hotel/motel etc.

The Lido Beach Resort on Lido Key is a nice choice.

agree with srggirl, Sarasota including Siesta Key, Lido Key and Longboat Key are better anniversary destinations than Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach. IMO Fort Myers Beach has more kind of spring break (Where the Boys Are) feel to it.
