Emerald Beach

We have just booked a vacation through VRBO for April at Emerald Beach. It will be me, my husband and 2 small kids.

We are going to mainly stay at the resort and play at the beach. Are there any other activities we should consider?

Anyone have any info on Emerald Beach?

We were at Emerald beach this past weekend and were very impressed with the resort. You chose well. The resort has 4 pools and one specifically for kids so that should work well for your family.

Emerald Beach has a sky bar which is like a small sports bar/lounge overlooking the road and also has a starbucks on site as well as Carrabbas take out which is delivered directly to the resort.

How old is your small children? That would give us a better idea of what we could suggest for activities.

Thanks for the replies. We had some friends stay at Emerald Beach last year and they loved it - glad to hear they are not the only ones. Starbucks is a huge plus for me since I am a coffee addict!

My kids are 3 and 5. I know they will enjoy playing on the beach and in the pools but I want to try and do an outing one day since we will be there a whole week.

A dolphin cruise was a blast! My kids were about the same age a few years ago when we went and they just loved it, they take you out to shell island and we saw a ton of dolphins - real fun for the kids!

Actually, Emerald Beach site is two resorts...the Emerald Beach and Wyndham Timeshare Resort. Excellent place and location. Very clean, safe, and convenient to Pier Park area. Elevators may be somewhat of a hassle because of volume of people, but not a real negative.
