We fly to Orlando on Sunday (Yippee!) and have been taking in all the advice you experienced Orlando go%26#39;ers have to offer on TA. We have therefore come to a final(ish) itinery and wandered what u think?!
Any feedback would be appreciated!
Here goes.....
Sunday - land at Sanford, drive to LBV Resort Village for 2 week stay. Trip to Walmart to stock up on supplies.
Monday - Seaworld
Tuesday - Universal Studios
Weds - Universal IOA
Thurs - Kennedy Space Centre
Friday - Possible trip to Miami/nearest Beach
Saturday - Day off, maybe airboat ride at Boggy Creek, shopping, evening in Kissimee to see the car show I believe is held there every Sat evening.
Sunday - Epcot
Mon - Blizzard Beach
Tues - Magic Kingdom
Weds - Hollywood Studios
Thurs - Typhoon Lagoon or WetnWild
Fri - Animal Kingdom
Sat - Return to our favourite park:).....and pack:(
Seeing as next week is still in, albeit the last week of the UK kids school hols we thought we might avoid Disney in our first week and leave that til the 1st week in September. Is this a good idea??
Thanks in advance for any advice. Happy Holidays:)
4 days to go - Itinery - opinions please?!?!
Just remember that Labor Day weekend (Fri-Mon, Aug. 29-Sept 1st) is going to be more crowded at the theme parks, so plan accordingly and get to the parks before they open on those days.
4 days to go - Itinery - opinions please?!?!
I would skip Miami, it%26#39;s 4 hrs there and 4 back... not a good way to spend a day unless you enjoy driving. Go to clearwater 2 hours away, great beach.
Also I would split up your first 4 days and not put beach next to space center as they%26#39;re both longer driving days.
Car show is at old town at 9pm
Just my opinion, Enjoy!
Hi, Just a quick tip - if you%26#39;re going to Walmart to stock up, do you mean drinks etc? If so, buy a polystyrene cool box approx $5. Well worth it, you can fill it up with ice every morning in your hotel (they all have ice machines) and keep cool drinks in the car all holiday. Alternatively buy an ordinary cool box as they are so cheap but good quality - we brought ours home with us!
Sounds good but as already said I would give Miami a miss and stick with beaches nearer, clearwater or coco beach etc. Miami would be nice but its a long drive and time is valuable!
ENJOY!!
Maybe the day you go to KSC, stay overnight in a cheap room and hang out at the cocoa beach the next day. Less driving. Just a thought.
