Day 1 from the De Boos family

Got here on Sat after an excellent journey with Virgin and decided to go to Typhoon Lagoon on Sun so will start my trip report here.

We are a family of 6 consisting of myself and my husband, my mum and dad and our 2 children. My son is 5 and my daughter is 3.

We arrived at Typhoon Lagoon at about 11am and headed straight over to the kids area. We decided to base ourselves here as we knew this is where we would be spending most of our time.

The children absolutely loved this area and my son loved the small rapid ride that he could go on his own. He just constantly went up and down, up and down. My daughter loved splashing in and out of the water jets and we just loved watching them.

We persuaded the kids to come with us into the wave pool, which my son loved but my daughter was not so sure! I have never seen such big waves in a wave pool! My husband decided to venture deeper to try out the big waves and the kids persuaded me to go back to the kids area.

After a bit of lunch we all went in the lazy river and my daughter nearly fell asleep on my lap but she was aware that occassionally you get wet so she kept opening her eyes.

Again we ended back in the kids area and my daughter (after a little bit of bribery) decided she would go on the small rapid ride on her own, and she loved it!

My husband and dad went for a look around and went on the crush and gusher and then my mum and I did the same. I got really nervous about going on the ride but it was brilliant, you just had to remember to keep your bottom up off the floor!

After all that we decided to head home as the park was just about to close.

One thing that was really good about Typhoon Lagoon was the refillable sports cups. We made great use of these and they are great keepsakes.

We ate in the villa as we were all wet and tired. I think jet lag was catching up!

Magic Kingdom tomorrow. I am sooooooooooo excited!

Day 1 from the De Boos family

Starting the Holiday off at the Waterpark was a great idea. Glad the kids were able to have lots of fun. We use the kids area as base camp too, works well :)

Hope you are all rested for Magic Kingdom

Looking forward to more fun reports

What a great way to start your holiday..TL is great..

Hope you all have a Magical Day tomorrow at Mk..

It was quite busy but the rides only had a wait of about 10 - 15 mins. We found that you could not get a lounger but we were quite happy on chairs as we knew with the kids there would be no resting!

The kids area was not bad at all and even the lazy river all of us were able to get rings straight away.

Sounds as though you are all having great fun.....

Keep on having fun, and enjoy the rest, can,t wait to read more as the days go on....
