Flight Prices

I know this is a %26#39;how long is a piece of string%26#39; question but just wondered if anyone can advise. 2 of us are going to NYC for 4 nyts then down to Orlando for 19 nyts in late Sept/Oct. I have a price with Continental for the return flight from Heathrow with a 1hr transfer in Newark on the return journey for 拢825 all in for both of us. I do think this is a fair price but I saw the same flights a month ago for 拢730 but wasn%26#39;t ready to book. Do I gamble or play it safe????????????

If you are happy with the price, go for it. If not have a look at www.airlinenetwork.com

A 1 hour transfer is unworkable I think, especially as you will have to go through immigration. I check this aspect first before parting with any cash.

In my opinion, even on return, an hour is a little short. Can%26#39;t comment on that package price, but, if spending time in NYC, I would highly recommend checking roundtrip to/from your origination and Newark. Look into one ways from Newark, LGA or JFK for the NYC to Orlando portion and the same for Orlando to Newark. Think JetBlue, Southwest, Airtran for cheap one way fares once you are here. May be cheaper than your package.

Hi MrWright1974

Is the on the way home Your flight is stopping at Newark if its its possible .

Continetal is a very good company and I noticed that most of the airfloat at Newark was Continental planes

We had 1 hour and 20 minutes from Denmark-Newark-Orlando and cleared immigration a family of five transferd our luggage and went outside for some air and inside again. The other think is when flying with contintal all the way , if your flight is late they have to put You on the next availble.

I think I may have confused things by talking about immigration. It艣 clear that the one hour transfer is on the return leg (Orlando - Newark - London). It艣 doable but given the propensity for late arrivals at Newark (especially internal flights) it is wise to know that the connection is valid in the eyes of the airline first and foremost.

The flight back is Continental all the way so the transfer should be ok. Thanks for the advice.

As you say %26#39;how long is a piece of string%26#39;, but the fact that you are essentially travelling %26#39;off season%26#39; you will get your flights for much less than 430 UK pounds each! If I were you, I would hold off and wait until early August before even considering booking a flight.

We are heading out next Wednesday for a quick week in the sun, and booked our flights 2 weeks ago, using Continental from Belfast to Newark and then onwards to Orlando and return and we got our flights for 232 UK pounds! Not bad eh....... My aunt booked her mid May flights over 5 months ago travelling with American Airlines and she paid a good fair of 375 Uk pounds from Dublin through to Orlando via Chicago. However, just looking last week, she could have flown from Belfast to Orlando via Newark with Continental for the same as we paid - 232 UK pounds .........

If it was me, i would wait, you will always get a flight if you are looking for 2 seats only and are a little flexible with dates.
