Disney with 4 year old sonAll seems okay but i dont see how your 4 year old will cope with all those themepark days. That is going to be a lot of walking without a rest. You get back at about 11 o clock from some of those parks and waking up and going to yet another theme park may prove to be too much.so i recomend you have a few off days just relaxing in between all those theme park days.Depending on where you are staying just stay round the pool for a little while and do a bit of shopping and for the other few rest days how about just going to somewhere like gatorland then coming back to where your staying and getting ready for a nice meal somewhere perhaps at one of the great disney resturants at one of the resorts. This is a great Way to have a look round the resorts. If i have to recomend a resort it would probaley be the wilderness lodge where they have a resturant called artis point which is amazing.
Disney with 4 year old sonBrilliant thanks - the Waterparks I am classing as rest days as we would probably do these in the morning and then chill in afternoon.
Thanks for advice
last time i was at animal kingdom, a cast member there told me its actually the biggest disney park. u can fit magic kingdom in there twice apparently! its a good choice for a first day tho, not as hectic as the others in my opinion
Are you staying at a Disney resort or not?
If not, do yourself a favor and make these swaps based on what we think the EMH days at Disney will be (you%26#39;ll want to avoid Disney parks on EMH days).
1. Swap you parks on 30/09 and 01/10 and go to Magic Kingdom on Wednesday as Thursday is usually an EMH day at M.K.
2. Monday, 28/09, your first day may be a morning EMH day at Animal Kingdom (based on history), but since crowds won%26#39;t be hugely large, it%26#39;s probably o.k. to do that park that day. Just realize folks may already be in the park once you arrive, as Disney guests will get in at 8:00 AM.
3. Typhoon Lagoon may be more crowded on a Saturday (06/10) due to locals, but again, not a huge deal.
4. Monday, 07/10, at Hollywood Studios may be an EMH day as well, as historically it usually is, so just realize you may have a more crowded park that day.
You may want to wait until the September/October Disney caledars come out to concrete your plans for each day, since parades and fireworks shows are only done on specific nights that time of year, and also the calendar for EMH days may be needed to avoid those parks if you aren%26#39;t a Disney guest.
Thats great - staying at Marriott Village LBV - great advice thanks
Hi that looks great to me. Animal Kingdom is a good choice for the first day, as due to the jet lag you will be up very early and it means you will be able to get there when it opens and head straight for the safari, as the animals will all be out enjoying the early morning cool air.
I think your 4yr old will be fine. We went in 2007 with a 22 month old and she handled it very well, just remember to relax and take it at their pace. Also take a cheap fold down buggy even if he does not normally use one, he will get tired and it is also somewhere to hang your bags.
Honestly he will love every minute of it.
Have an amazing time.
If he is into Buzz I would recommend you get a fast pass for this ride as soon as you arrive in Magic Kingdom as it can get busy.
Otherwise he will have a wonderful time.
