Let%26#39;s get this Cape Coral forum kicked up a little bit.
What are a couple of your favorite Cape restaurants to go to?
Who has the best Mexican? Best waterfront dining experience?
Best seafood? If I were to celebrate a 25th anniversary where should I go?
Thanks!

Slow Forum...What are your favorite Cape Coral Restaurants??
Cape Coral doesn%26#39;t have a lot of waterfront restaurants, but things are improving. Best place to eat breakfast by boat is Jimbo%26#39;s. Their corned beef is outstanding! Limited dock space. They are also open for lunch and dinner.

I have heard good things about Rum Runners on the water. Just haven%26#39;t had the chance to get up there yet.

Who is Cape Coral?
Rumrunners is a great restaurant especially if you go by boat. It is right next to the Chiquita lock so you get to see a lot of traffic.
I prefer lunch to dinner. Their meals are a little pricy, but you are paying for the view and ambiance. I am not terribly impressed by their dinnner menu, but the salmon BLT, and the bistro salad with blackened chicken is outstanding at lunch.
New to that area are the shops at Cape Harbor. Across the street from Rumrunners is a new area a little stores. There is an Italian deli called Pignoli%26#39;s. They have quite a selection of sandwiches and salads. You can eat outside overlooking the marina. There is also another restaurant called The Joint. They have good pan pizzas, that go about $11 bucks. Again you are paying for the view.
I am not sure if either of these places are open for breakfast.
They also have an ice cream parlor in the complex with some pretty interesting ice creams. I don%26#39;t eat the stuff so I never tried it.
Last but not least is the social clubhouse at Tarpon Point. They are only open in the winter as far as I know. It is a little bit of a walk from the marina to the restaurant. Last year the food was very good, and reasonably priced. They also have a very good sunday brunch. Rumor has it that the chef has changed, so I can%26#39;t guarantee what things will be like this year. Always call to see if they are open because they do close for private affairs.
As far a the question goes ';who is Cape Coral';, we are a growing community in Southwest Florida that has 400 miles of canal.
I own a second home in Cape Coral and quite frankly I prefer to go to Pine Island for dinner. Somehow Cape Coral just doesnt have the same quality as the restaurants on Pine Island (I%26#39;m talking about Sandy Hook, Red%26#39;s and Bert%26#39;s bar)... In the past year I think Moretti%26#39;s and Cap%26#39;n Cons have really gone down hill. Anybody agree? Bert%26#39;s Bar, Red%26#39;s and Sandy Hook are my three favorites.
We visited The Joint on the way to Sanibel Island for a much-needed lunch after a long drive. I loved it. Okay, the weather was good, we were right next to the water and could sit there and look at those expensive boats, but the food was genuinely good, the service was great and I was served a deliciously cold glass of Pinot Grigio. The staff were all really friendly and charming, and we didn%26#39;t feel out of place wearing jeans and t-shirts. Shame we couldn%26#39;t go back in the evening; I think it would be lively then.
Rum Runners is great, stayed at a Villa opposite this place in 2007 loved the food, nice to sit outstide on the dock area and watch the boats go by.
Had lunch and a few cocktails at Leapin Lizard great atmosphere usually some singer on, always bustling in the evenings.
We found over the bridge in Fort Myers had a wider choice of restaurants for dining in the evening, my Mum always says %26#39;weve paid for this bridge%26#39; as we were crossing it twice a day, everyday nearly.
We just spent a week in Cape Coral looking at homes . We have been to Rum Runners - very good. We have been to Anthonys- good as well. We are going back next week, Can%26#39;t wait to go back .
Do you need a lodger WorkingMum LOL ?
Thanks but we are full up. hahaha
