virgins premium economy on manchester orlando flight

hi,

as anyone flown premium economy on the manchester orlando service, i am thinking of upgrading but the cost is quite high for 2 adults 1 child approx 拢1300 supplement return.

i am a very nervous flyer and a bit claustrophobic so could do with the extra space, but not sure i can justify the expense?!

regards

Are you talking about Virgin flights? If so,it might be worth keeping an eye on the cost of upgrading to Premium Economy in case it changes. Someone on the forum mentioned recently that Virgin sometimes reduces prices to incentivise potential customers if no PE flights have sold for a few days. Perhaps you could find this thread or someone could direct you to it.

If the cost is a little high, consider a one-way upgrade on the return when you are tired and would like a bit more peace and quiet and space to relax.

when i spoke to virgin they couldnt guarantee that i would get a seat upstairs, which is what i would want if i pay the extra money

do you manage to get seats in the bubble each time?

many thanks for the reply

I feel your pain. I have a similar issue with flying. I don%26#39;t like the term ';nervous flyer';, I prefer ';hysterical mess';!!

I also suggested this to my friend, who I am travelling with. She assured me that there is not THAT much difference in the amount of room you get!!

Which leaves me begging the doctor (in a non desperate kinda way) for some sedatives!!

B x

thanks for all the replies so far,

chinners - i did think about doing it just on the return flight to cut costs a little

thanks bekimo,

i have heard so many horror stories about virgin economy being cramped no legroom and narrow seats

so thats mainly the reason i am considering upgrade

laurensmum yes ive allways sat in the bubble ,as soon as we boo we go straight to ook your seat and reserve out seats funny thing is in economy we have been moved but touch wood in PE once we book out and return seats they have allways remained booked.

If you ring Virgin Atlantic they will tell you if there are any seats left upstars there only in twos and are really comfortable

hi nemmis,

how far in advance can you book seats upstairs in the bubble with virgin atlantic, is it as soon as the flights are confirmed?

regards

It%26#39;s as soon as your tickets are issued. If you book flight only (with the airline) this is more or less immediately; if you book a package with Virgin Holidays, it can be as late as two weeks before flight date - in which case, all the pre-bookable allocation (which isn%26#39;t all seats) may have already gone....
