manchester 747 virgin atlantic what they like?

im going with 2 yr old yes i no ! but hey it will be worth it . im staying at floridays but my question is whats virgin atlantic like? whats this online check in? ive picked our seat numbers online both ways is it guranteed for them seats?

manchester 747 virgin atlantic what they like?

its never guaranteed until you%26#39;re actually sat in the seat in my opinion :) but it will be near enough guaranteed should you do the online check in 24 hours before your flight. Instead of booking your seats via the check in agent you do it online and then head straight over to the bag drop.

Virgin 747s aren%26#39;t the best IMO in comparison to the 330%26#39;s i think it is they use on other routes to the US but i must say i feel safer in the 747%26#39;s its the the decor is getting on a bit lets say - where are you flying from?

i think there is more room on a 767 and 777 than on 747. we are flying virgin from manchester also

You need to remember that you are talking about different generations of aircraft. the 747 is now some 40 years old and caused chaos at Heathrow when the ';Big Orange';, Braniff the launch airline first flew a 400 Passenger load into Heathrow where like other airports its largest aircraft it was dealing with where 160-180..

The airbus aircraft are all a new concept in flying and was designed as a fully fly by wire system. with new wing technology

Boeing was many years behind reluctant to change over to an un proved systeme. But the new variants do have all this modern electronics built in like the 757 %26amp; 777. Along with some military variants.

Some would say modify them but this is not a cheap or easy process.

But I do agree the A330 is a better ship. can fly faster, higher, and is much more fuel efficient and that%26#39;s a big + for airlines.

The A380 will be even better but the economic down turn in passenger numbers may slow new sales.

But I for one would love to ride on one to the US.

And stick it down at Sanford just to see how they would cope with a 800 passenger load. And it might even create even more chaos if you were to run one into MCO

yes i agree.. we definatly flew the 340 to LA but i seem to remember 330 from somewhere too - perhaps JFK(?) or maybe i%26#39;m wrong and i was just thinking about the 340...

i would love to fly the 380 though !! I somehow don%26#39;t think that would be on the MAN-MCO route though do you :-) ?!

No I dont think its a prospect in the near future;

But a few years back I was in Sanford when there 5 My travel planes and 3 from TCD all on the tarmac at the same time . Most of these would be flying full. and I have been there when 2 747%26#39;s of TDC have dropped 550 passengers each in the space of half an hour . So there were at that time passenger numbers to run one, And even now it you only flew every other day, rather then every day Virgin, Thomas Cook %26amp; Thompson%26#39;s in the summer season could run and fill one.

In those terms 800 out of a single ship is still an option. Fuel, landing fees, and aircrew could well come cheaper. But they dont come cheap to buy in a new box.
