One night in St. Augustine

Hi everyone, we%26#39;re headed to Disney in March, we would like to stop again in St. Augustine March 14 for the night. Last trip we stayed at the Hampton Inn on the ocean. I didn%26#39;t find any place to really eat other than one spot across the street. Because we%26#39;d been in the car all day we just went over there. So, my question is -is it worth it for one night to stay on the beach? Any other hotel options other than Hampton and Hilton Garden? Should be stay in the Historic area so we have access to other places to eat and shops. My girls are 7 and 9. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

For one night I would recommend the historic district. Lots to see and do, and almost too many restaurants to choose from.

I say Kris was right...

Thank you, not sure why that other pose was removed but off the top of your head any kid friendly restaurants that might stand out in the Historic district?

Hi WV. I hope you had a chance to read my post before it was removed in error. I do not work for any of the establishments I recommended. I have E-mailed trip advisor regarding my post removal, and hopefully it will be restored.

Yes, I did and I made my reservation back at the beach again. Thank you.

Hi WVClairenmaddy thanks for choosing St.Augustine and its beaches area. You should be fine staying on Vilano Beach since downtown is only 3 minutes away and you will be enjoying best of both worlds as well. Enjoy visiting downtown and the beach area.

WV..

One night so it sounds like you will be driving either from WV to Disneyland Stopping for a break or form Disney St Aug leaving either way your going to exhausted from the trip . So... in saying that you may just decide for a place just to lay your head. Not saying that both places are good locations. The water will be cold ( if you squeeze in time to walk on the Beach) So my vote would be Historic area and the little bit of time that you do have dinning etc. would be closer to your fingertips.

Enjoy like I always do!

We will be in SA right before our Disney trip-hoepfully I won%26#39;t be too tired from the drive down, we will stop our first night right past Charlotte.
