Sanibel and surgery

I must have worse Sanibel withdrawl than I realized! As some of you may remember, I was having gall bladder tests right before our spring break with 7 teens last month. Well, while at Gramma Dots during that week, I received the call that the gall bladder had to come out. So yesterday was surgery day and the OR nurse told me the last thing I said before drifting off was ';Sanibel...';

I was telling myself to go to my happy place! LOL

I have to shift gears now as I plan the grad party and get ready for the transition to the ';summer before college';. I did make ressies for next year however - same time, same place, less teenagers!

Sanibel and surgery

lol - whenever I have to endure something horrible - I think of either Sanibel or floating on a raft in our lake in Northern Michigan... Both happy places.

Glad you are feeling better, hope all is well.

Sanibel and surgery

I think your gall bladder surgery warrants a trip to Sanibel for some R%26amp;R!

Maybe you should inter the gallbladder on Sanibel. It as obviously its last wish! Makes arrangements! Have a memorial service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I%26#39;m with you Tourmaline, however, I would recommend that zinfandel consider using this removed non-vital organ as a backup waboba ball, properly inflated so that it floats.

Fred (bored with doing last minute taxes)

HaHa...you guys are funny!

Zin, hope you recover quickly.

Hmmm maybe the doc could write a prescription

for Sanibel Therapy!!

I wonder if a gall bladder looks like a sea cucumber or one of those other squishy organ looking things on the beach?

Zin, I also threw a grad part last summer. It went very well. I also had gall bladder taken out in August. I am much better now. Never have had any problems since. I am heading to Sanibel in June, my reward. Hope all is well.

You guys are killing me! It only hurts when I laugh, cough and sit on the toilet. Actually pretty amazing stuff - that laproscopic surgery. Into the OR at 1:15 and home by 3:45. Yowser. Wam Bam thank you Mam.

I%26#39;m liking the way you guys think - burial at sea, woboba, sea cucumber. I%26#39;d swear I was doubling up on the pain meds!

Thanks for the laughs!

Zin, I am so glad your gall bladder waited until your trip was over! I%26#39;m glad surgery went well and yes, Sanibel is always my happy place too ;)

Sanibel seems to put all of us that love it so in a relaxed state prior to surgery - and even when needing to work through pain. My husband recently had to have a lung biopsy and two weeks later a kidney biopsy and through both when he needed to go to his ';happy place'; prior to surgery or an unpleasant procedure, he went to Sanibel.

I think Dr.s need to write scripts for recovering in Sanibel!

Zin, hope your health continues to improve.
