Started Day 3 with thunderstorms! As we were all shattered from our 15 hours in Magic Kingdom we were not too bothered and decided to just sit and watch the lightening.
Once it had stopped the kids were desperate to get in the pool so we let them out, but not long after that it started to rain heavily again and as we were worried that the thunderstorm would come back persuaded them to go back in the villa.
We turned on the weather report to hear that there was a tornado coming our way!
By about 1pm we were all going stir crazy in the villa (especially as we were not allowed outside) and as the tornado had passed us by decide to go to Downtown Disney.
I think everyone had the same idea as there was quite a queue to get into Disneyquest and as we did not want to wait in the wind and rain decided to go to the Disney store and treat the kids instead. My son bought some cars and my daughter a prentend hair and makeup set, so they were happy.
My husband spotted the pearl stall and as it is our 10 yr anniverssary in a couple of weeks, I persuaded him to buy me some jewellery! I had said before we went on holiday that I really wanted to find a place where you pick your own oyster. I ended up picking a really big pearl which they then put in a necklace for me. I was over the moon. What a great present and it will be very special to me.
We went over to T Rex to see what the wait was for dinner, but it was 35 mins and although this isn%26#39;t too long we did not want to wait in the wind and rain so decided to stop on the way home. I promised my son we would go back there another day.
We stopped at Denny%26#39;s and started to talking about SeaWorld as we were going there the next day.
So our rest day didn%26#39;t really turn into a rest day at all, but then we already knew this was probably going to be the case!
SeaWorld (day 4)coming soon....

Day 3 from the De Boos family
Hope the weather picks up for you. Be better than here even if there is tornados. Look forward to seaworld...
Good trip reports so far.
Tornados in April is that common?
Sounds like you made the best of a horrendous weather day.
Tornadoes in April? Yes; spring is optimum tornado time in the southern US, but probably less common in Florida. Anytime you have moisture, combined with a cold front and warm front colliding, you have storm potential, and tornado possibility. Here in Tennessee, we have had tornado touchdowns 3 days in the past 2 weeks.
Looking forward to Seaworld!
