Best place to stay

I have never been to Florida. Which area is best for a nice ocean beachfront condo or hotel. The view is important. No kids. I am seeing Sanibel Island, Fort Myers, %26amp; Estero Beach. Any comments, comparisons, or recommendations? We are not the 4S type, but want a pool and nearby restaurants. A/C is a must! Thanks!

You want Ft. Myers Beach-FMB. We are on the Gulf of Mexico so there is no undertow or waves, you can walk way out. Check out Pink Shell, Best Western, Edison House and Diamondhead-all are Beachfront with pool and of course A/C. Pink Shell %26amp; Diamondhead have Restaurants on site. The GR8 thing @FMB is everything is walking/Trolley/biking distance. Sanibel %26amp; beyond you have to drive/taxi to get anywhere.

We loved the Pink Shell. It is family oriented but I still recommend it because the room was awesome with spectacular views with floor to ceiling windows plus a screened in floor to ceiling window section off the master bedroom. Right on the beach with several pools. Right beside a nature preserve which was nice too.
