Everglades National Park from Naples?

I am accompanying a friend to Naples where she will have business most days. We are alloting 1 day for sightseeing and since I am not familiar with the area, my question is: can we reach the western side of Everglades National Park fairly easily from Naples? I know there are several Visitor Centers, but is there one that would be closer for us coming from Naples? Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Everglades National Park from Naples?

Dead easy. Just down US41 at Everglades city which is approx 1 hours drive.

Look out for Big Cypress bend boardwalk and Indian village on right hand side after about 30 mins and shortly after Port of The Islands hotel and Marina which is on the right.

The boardwalk is well worth a visit and gives a good insight in not too long a walk of one part of the Everglades ecosystem.
