We are going to Orlando in August. I have seen ads for air boat tour combined with a Kennedy Space tour. Has anyone tried this? Would it be more fun to go on that tour or visit Hollywood Studios? Thoughts? What has been your favorite attraction? Thanks for the help.
August Trip w/ 2 Adults 2 Kids, Kennedy Space Tour or...?
How old are the kids ? and do they enjoy thrill rides or educational experiences ?
August Trip w/ 2 Adults 2 Kids, Kennedy Space Tour or...?
The kids are 9 and 12 and will get opportunity to do rides at Magic Kingdom, Seaworld, and Epcot. We will also be going to Discovery Cove. Our debate is whether we take the space tour/air boat excursion or spend the day at Hollywood Studios. We are trying to see the most during our shorter stay. So much to do...help...
If you%26#39;ve never been to Hollywood Studios, I%26#39;d opt for that. If you go with the airboat/KSC, make sure that the airboat tour is in the morning. In Aug., you have a high probability of afternoon temps in the low 90%26#39;s (F), with high humidity %26amp; good chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Those boats have no covering.
I%26#39;d also go for Hollywood Studios. It would be more cost effective, more fun and closer. I%26#39;m sure the kids would love Toy Story Mania, get there early :)

On our last visit to Kennedy Space Centre we were very frustrated with the organised tour part of the experience. We queued 30 minutes to get onto the first coach and although this was in a shaded waiting area, the cooling system wasn%26#39;t up to the job and we all felt over-heated and sick ( this was mid-July).
You have to get off the coach at various points of interest and then rejoin a queue to get the coach to the next stop. I think you can skip some of the exhibits and stay on the coach if you want to but it still doesn%26#39;t seem like a very family-friendly system, particularly in hot and humid conditions.
Just got a chance to check the blogs today. Thank you for the replies. I think we will skip the tours. Our trip attractions will include Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Seaworld, Discovery Cove and Hollywood Studios. We only have 5 days...does this look good? Also, I would love to do a dinner show. I saw a review on a magician/comedy show in town (forgot name, but it was showing at the upside building). Has anyone done this? Do you need to pre-book the shows? We are staying off Disney grounds, so I don%26#39;t think we can go to the Disney shows...correct? What about Medievel Times? Do you need to pre-book this? Any help would be great.
Thanks!!
If you have paid to be in the disney park, of course you watch the shows in that park.
Thanks for response. I was actually looking for dinner show ideas. I didn%26#39;t think you could go to the Disney hotel dinner shows if you weren%26#39;t staying there...
This is my children%26#39;s first time to Disney and I want to make sure we don%26#39;t miss something. So much to do...so little time.
You can still go to the Disney dinner shows even if you%26#39;re staying off-site. You%26#39;ll need to book in advance as they fill up really quickly. I think, currently, you%26#39;re allowed to book 90 days in advance - the experts will correct me if I%26#39;m wrong! Some enthusiasts will phone up on the earliest possible day, in order to make sure they get their preferred dates and times.
The Hoop de doo Revue at Fort Wilderness Resort is a great one for young families - have a look at the WDW website for info and videos.
By the way, your itinerary sounds great!
I agree, The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue would be alot of fun for everyone
