Fingerprints in U.S

Hi, i%26#39;m goin to the U.S soon and wanted to know if i was going to get my fingerprints taken?

I%26#39;m have a U.K passport I%26#39;m flying to Jfk, does anyone know if this is the procedure? I heard that it is even for U.K passpor holders

They do it to all non US passport holders, except maybe diplomats.

It is done at the desk at immigration, you just pop your fingers on the machince when he/she asks you to.

Don%26#39;t worry it%26#39;s all done digitally and very quick - you don%26#39;t have to dip your fingers in ink or anything... lol.

Not just your fingerprints your have a eye scan and a photo taken .

wow, i am all for security and everything, but this is just intrusion of privacy!

if it is too much for you, you have an option. Stay home or go somewhere else that doesn%26#39;t require it now, but will someday.

I grew up in the US, where having an ID is normal thing. And if you are asked to produce it, you do. It isn%26#39;t a problem, and it isn%26#39;t hard. Eventually you will get used to it here in the UK after they introduce the ID card system that has already passed I think.

IDs in the UK will be scrapped when the Tories win the next election were fed up with being spied on every minute of the day ,even in our rubbish bins ,and shortly council workers will be able to read your e-mails and mobile phone messages 1994 or what.

without all that lovely/terrible spying we wouldn%26#39;t have caught the london/glasgow bombers or the 7/7-/21 crew.

As a law abiding subject I don%26#39;t have a problem with it. And I am a registerd democrat ;-)

I did have a prob as US gov employee. I didn%26#39;t have fingerprints as I have a bad reaction to laytex gloves used in my employment and we all had to be fingerprinted. Caused the FBI all sorts of probs lol.

Forgive me, as an (apparently) ignorant and liberal-leaning yankee, they cant possibly do eyescans and fingerprints on foreign vistors???? For Crap%26#39;s sake are you serious????
