Phone cards

Hi Could someone tell me the cheapest way to phone the uk from orlando , i would rather not use my Mobile as the charges are really expensive with virgin! Thanks

Phone cards

You can pick up an international phone card from any pharmacy such as Walgreens. They start at $10. Make sure it is an international one, not a national calls one. It can be used in your hotel or at payphones to call US and UK numbers.

The other way is to purchase a Net10 Phone from Walmart for $30. It includes $30 worth of calls, and you can use it anywhere on the move. You charge it and set it up and register it for international calls- this can take 24 hours before you use it for that. It can call UK landlines, but not UK mobiles.

I have a net10, but I think you can get by with a calling card, and using your UK phone for texting home whcih isn%26#39;t so bad in price as roaming with calls.

The ';upside'; of the Net10 mobile option (as described above) over a calling card is that other people can call you without it costing a fortune....

Out of your initial $30 credit (the whole thing costs $30 you ';sort of'; get the handset and charge and SIM free) calls to UK landlines are 15c/minute (so you%26#39;ve got a total of 200 minutes to go at before you need a top up). Receiving calls is 10c/minute. As is calling an other US number (landline or mobile).

And....if you buy %26gt;1 set, then you can keep in touch with one another, too.
